Maltacourt are proud to announce the launch Mandarin Global Logistics

Maltacourt are delighted to announce the launch of Mandarin Global Logistics, the latest brand joining the Maltacourt Group. ‘Mandarin’ will form an integral part of the complete holistic offering working alongside; cross trade specialist Freightline International, Scottish forwarder Extrordinair and the existing Maltacourt teams.

Mandarin will be headed by Mark Coffey, Sales Director and Matt Wilde, Operations Director and operate from state of the art offices in Cheadle, close to the key strategic hub of Manchester airport. Mandarin will offer multi modal supply chain solutions, focusing on working in partnership with customers to deliver the best possibly solution the market has to offer. With key experience in the retail sector, Matt and Mark are accustomed to fast moving, demanding requirements, and are looking to make Mandarin the go to name for all your logistic requirements.

“We have built Mandarin around the ethos of the customer comes first. We feel the industry has lost touch with its most important facet, customer service. Our mantra is people buy from people but also people like to speak to people. With the rise of digital forwarders customer are being pushed down cloud based this and web portal that, we are putting a person at the end of the phone to bring a familiar feel and a relationship.” Mark Coffey, Sales Director

Mark began his career in the mid- 1990’s working initially within airfreight export operations, as well as working with airlines, running the department for a large global transport company based in Manchester but it’s in a commercial role where Mark found his passion for customer service and supporting the delivery of solutions to complex supply chain problems. A philosophy Mark is eager to continue at Mandarin.

“From the start of sales process we begin by listening to our customers, what they need from a partner but also where we can fit into their wider supply chain. What we do at Mandarin doesn’t only affect the A to B movement but a customer’s wider supply chain. We ask the questions to understand their problems, their risks and also where we can offer our best solution. A greater understanding of our customers business allows us to understand what carriers we can route cargo on, how to handle freight upon arrival, why the goods need to be delivered on a set date.”

Matt Wilde launches Mandarin as Operations Director, with a fully-fledged multi modal operational background and a commercial approach. Matt is a problem solver and throughout his career has demonstrated the key ingredients of ‘the Mandarin way’ which has seen him develop from export trainee to leading an operations team.

“I am really enjoying the freedom I have now to build and mould a team that reflects our core values. We have big plans and who knows what the future holds for this business – there is no limit. We are procuring services for customers that fit into their supply chain based on conversations we have through our deep understanding of their business. We are very much looking for partnerships with our customers, we don’t want to be seen as just a service provider, we explore the wider reaching parts of customers supply chain and ask questions that other freight forwarders simply just don’t ask.” Matt Wilde, Operations Director.

Matt continues, “Customers are liking this approach but we also bring a personal touch to what we are doing, the customer can see our passion that we bring to work every day and deliver in our solutions and service offerings.”
